The three-screw pump in my workshop suddenly seized during operation. Upon disassembly and inspection, it was found that there was a lot of iron shavings inside the pump’s casing, and the screws had uneven surfaces when rotated. Checking the pump’s inlet filter revealed no excessive oil residues. Replace the new pump inner casing as well as the driving rod and driven rod, align it properly, connect it to the motor for cranking, and prepare the pump for use. But the shaft clamping phenomenon occurred again after the first startup. It seems that the same problem occurs even with the new spare parts. Please analyze the reasons
Too small a radial clearance in the bearing causes the bearing to overheat!
There are several possibilities: 1. It is likely caused by improper lubrication. 2. The bearing clearance is too large.

How long had it been running when the bearing first seized, and were there any condition monitoring indications of increased bearing temperature or vibration?
This thing is rarely repaired. For the new screws, the possibility of bending is low; however, it is necessary to consider whether the parallelism and clearance among the three screws are appropriate, as well as the axial displacement of each screw.
