While reviewing the standard HG20559 today, I came across a sentence that I don’t quite understand. I would appreciate it if experts could provide some guidance: In systems without a backup pump, a permanent filter must be equipped with an online backup so that it can be switched in for maintenance purposes. I’m not quite sure what it means by “permanent filter available online” in this sentence; I’m a beginner asking for help! ! Backup units come in online backup and warehouse backup types, with online backup units needing to be installed. What the text means is that two filters are installed in parallel, one in use and the other as a backup; shut-off valves are placed before and after each filter. When one filter becomes clogged and needs to be cleaned, operation can be switched to the other filter, ensuring uninterrupted operation of the pump.

A permanent filter refers to a filter installed on the pump inlet pipeline that is required to remain in operation, whether during the startup after major pump repairs or during normal production; Temporary filters are generally installed and put into operation when there is maintenance or major repair of the system pipelines or equipment at the pump inlet, or during the initial startup of the entire installation. However, once the system has been cleaned and purged satisfactorily, the temporary filter is removed.
My understanding is that online filter cleaning is achieved by not stopping the pump

It’s clearly stated above. Pumps with small gaps are required. Centrifugal pumps require permanent filters only when the medium is dirty or special requirements exist
