I was wondering if there are any **standards and size requirements for the design of impeller seal rings** – for example, are there any specifications regarding the inner and outer diameters of the seal ring as well as its width? I couldn’t find any information on this topic online
There must be standards for this; check API610. Here at our site, we usually use a value around 0.4.
It can follow the maintenance procedures for centrifugal pumps outlined in the chemical equipment maintenance regulations.
