As shown in the diagram, the inside of the heat exchanger is used for lubricating the pump seal. Will the oil level decrease over time as the pump runs continuously? How should oil be added? Plus points
There should be a funnel-like fuel filling port on it, right? Or it’s a manual fueling pump; with a manual fueling pump, the isolation fluid can be added without releasing pressure, while funnel feeding requires releasing pressure from the sealed tank.
It seems that there is no pressure supply line; it should be the 52 scheme. Another line needs to be connected to the flare, so that in case of a seal leak, the fluid can be directly discharged to the flare
This is Scheme 52; it has a filling port on it. As long as the seal is intact and there are no leaks, no pressure will build up inside the sealed tank, allowing for easy liquid addition. The liquid level can be monitored using the level gauge on the sealed tank.
It’s not possible to see where that pipe is connected; if it’s connected to the pump outlet, it’s the PLAN21 scheme, and if it’s also connected to the sealing cover, it’s the PLAN23 scheme. Neither of these two requires refueling. It's just that PLAN23 needs to fully vent the sealing system before starting the pump.
Take a close look: this system uses a mechanical seal with Plan23 flushing scheme. The interior of the tank contains a sealing medium, and a pumping ring is used for circulation within the tubes in the tank; no lubricating oil is required! But make sure to exhaust thoroughly before putting it into use :)
This should be a vertical heat exchanger, not for filling the pump with fluid
The cooler operates under pressure while the pump is running; after switching the pump to the standby pump, the inlet and outlet ends of the oil circuit in the cooler are disconnected for refilling
It’s just a heat exchanger that doesn’t require refueling. I have a slight question: does it come with a glass level gauge?
This is the cooling system for flushing, right? It uses a process medium, with circulating water being used to cool the flushing medium for the mechanical seal.
It doesn’t seem to have that kind of structure; it’s just a simple heat exchanger. If refueling is needed, there should be a hole provided for that purpose.
