Currently, multi-stage centrifugal pumps are made of duplex stainless steel 2205; corrosion has occurred to such an extent. I am seeking recommendations for high-quality materials that can help address this corrosion issue. The pump’s specifications are as follows: flow rate of 100 cubic meters, head of 450 meters. The acidic wastewater has a temperature of around 30 degrees, with a sulfuric acid concentration of about 10%.
Is this caused by how long it has been running?

It seems that it has been stored for a long time with little use, as there are many thin, sharp edges on the corroded rotating parts shown in the image; if it were in use, those parts would have broken off long ago. Moreover, with the impeller in such a state of corrosion, its performance would be far below standard and its operating condition would be extremely poor. How did it take so long to notice this?
It was replaced immediately when the process parameters could not be met
Alloy 20 simply cannot be used
We buy a valve made of alloy grade 20
If it’s just 10% sulfuric acid at a temperature of 30 degrees, there’s no problem with alloy 20 at all; there must be other substances in the medium as well
The alloy grade 20 simply can’t be used; I’m waiting to see if the manager will decide to switch to HB or HC
None of them have ever run continuously; it has been observed that they become unusable after at most 3 months
