My workshop has two Santen LMV high-speed pumps; the fluid handled is of type C6-C8, at a temperature of around 110°C. These pumps utilize a two-stage speed increase mechanism to reach 19,000 rpm. Due to the structure of the pump, the temperature of the medium indirectly causes the oil tank temperature to be high; the temperature on the outer wall at the bottom of the oil tank is around 75°C. We have the IOM from Stadain; lubricants with a viscosity of around 32# are recommended, but our company generally requires Kunlun-brand products. The performance we achieved using TSA-32 was not ideal; at startup, the cycloidal oil pressure was around 0.24 MPa, but it gradually dropped to 0.14 MPa after some time, resulting in a low pressure level. Analysis of the lubricant taken off line showed that its kinematic viscosity had dropped to 11. We are considering changing the brand and type of lubricant. Could an experienced friend recommend some? In our factory, other LMV high-speed pumps use ATF220 as well as Shell OMLA S2 220 (which is of higher quality, but its viscosity ranges from 68 to 1000). In all cases, the rotation speed is around 10,000 rpm, and the temperature of the fluid is relatively low. I always feel that the viscosity is a bit high (the instructions specify around 32), and since I use a high rotation speed, I haven’t tried those two types of oil yet; I’d like to hear everyone’s opinions. Is it possible that our initial approach was wrong from the start? Is it really suitable to use this type of closed-gear oil for high-speed pumps operating at high RPMs? ?
Have you tried 46#? Its viscosity is between that of 32# and 68#
For the oil to be used in high-speed pumps, it’s better to follow the recommendations of the manufacturer. We use oils from two manufacturers, Beijing Aerospace and Jialiite, and the oils they provide are different. Beijing Aerospace uses specified high-speed gear oil produced in Chongqing
The oil we use in the Beijing Aerospace high-speed pumps is the special oil designed for Shell IID automatic transmissions
There should be 32# turbine oil; at such high speeds, using oil with a high viscosity will lead to rapid failure

I have used L-TSA32 turbine oil, but after some time its viscosity drops significantly, and the oil pressure also decreases greatly. I didn’t dare to use it for a long time.
What are the speed of your high-speed pump and the temperature of the medium?
Speed over 20,000, medium temperature at room temperature. When the temperature is high in summer, the oil temperature is around 3 kilograms
For our high-speed pumps here, we use Great Wall 4413 high-speed gear oil; there is one imported pump that used Shell S3 ATF MD3. It is recommended that the original poster consult the lubricant manufacturer. Our unit’s high-speed pumps have never used TSA turbine oil.
Try Mobil 846 or SHC634; we use both types of oil here. Or 46# turbine oil has also been used. All the effects work
