What is the difference between the axial displacement of horizontal multi-stage centrifugal pumps and that of cantilever centrifugal pumps? :lol
The method of adjusting the axial clearance is different, right? Last year I dealt with a Sulzer pump, and adjusting its clearance was rather troublesome; cantilever centrifugal pumps are simpler in that regard.
Axial play is an indicator used to check the quality of pump assembly. Multi-stage systems have a greater impact and involve more factors, whereas cantilever systems consist of only two bearings, making them simpler. The measurement process, principles, and impacts are all the same.
What is the purpose of reserving axial play?
The cross-play of multi-stage pumps is used to check whether there are any issues with the pump assembly.
