Why is it necessary to turn the screw compressor shaft after it is shut down?
It should be said that all pumps should have their shafts turned regularly; we require that all standby pumps be rotated one and a half times upon taking over shifts in the morning
If the rotor does not cool down quickly right after shutdown, the lubricating oil must not be stopped; turning the rotor is necessary to prevent it from bending, and this is required for many large-scale mechanical devices.
It seems that the rotor temperature is too high, and there is a large temperature difference between the upper and lower parts of the cylinder; turning the rotor helps to prevent it from bending or deforming
We inspect the vehicle three times a day, marking 1, 2, and 3 at intervals of 120 degrees on the axle, corresponding to the long night shift, short night shift, and other shifts
Due to prolonged periods of inactivity, the moving parts and cylinders are prone to rusting and getting stuck. Starting up is done to check for any abnormal noises, sticking, or collisions within the cylinders and moving parts, as well as to ensure that all lubrication points receive an adequate amount of lubricant.
