Is using steam to purge the motor considered an illegal operation?
You guessed right; moisture affects the insulation of the motor
When water vapor cools down, it liquefies into water, causing insulation problems in motors
Why use a steam blower? There’s no need for that! If it is blown in accidentally for a short period of time, and the sealing performance of the motor’s wiring box, end caps, and shaft seals is good, there are generally no major problems.
Steam can more easily enter the terminal connections, causing insulation problems in the motor. Steam purging is prohibited here
What is the motivation for using a steam purging motor? Talk about it.
