The pump has two oil level sight glasses

I installed a standard centrifugal condensate pump, with two oil level sight glasses on each side of the pump. It’s usually one; how come there are two installed? I don’t quite understand; please explain it to me, extra points appreciated
The worker didn’t understand the drawings; since it looked the same on both sides, they processed another one on the opposite side
This way, the oil level can be checked on both sides, making it easier to observe
I have indeed seen such requirements – they need to be on both sides for easier observation; oil level gauges are on both sides, while the automatic oil refilling cup is only on one side. Generally, such bearing housings have cast protrusions for oil level gauges on both sides; the side that is to be used is the one that is machined.
The standard approach is to have an oil level sight glass on one side (for easy inspection), and a constant-level oil reservoir on the other side (used for automatic oil replenishment). If there are oil level gauges on both sides, it’s very likely that the manufacturer is being deceitful and cutting corners. It is recommended that everyone be cautious and clarify this when signing technical agreements in the future. :P
