The bearing is installed in the bearing housing along with the shaft, pushed forward against the positioning platform or an elastic retainer ring. A depth gauge is used to measure the distance from the end face of the bearing housing to the outer ring of the bearing, and this value is recorded. Then, the distance from the end face of the bearing cover to the shoulder is measured and recorded as well. Based on these values and the thickness of the existing highland barley paper shims, it is determined whether it is necessary to modify the bearing cover
