The temperature of the pump body of the high-pressure boiler feed water pump is 140 degrees Celsius; is insulation required for the pump body? It was not included in the original design. By checking the original design’s insulation specifications, for pumps that operate at temperatures below 230 degrees Celsius and do not have steam tracing pipes, if insulation is used it may cause unnecessary effects. What are those effects?
Proper insulation techniques can work, but the stability of the current insulation fixation is poor; due to high-frequency vibrations, there is a risk that the insulation material may rub against or get caught around the rotor shaft and coupling as a result of issues with fixation. If a foam adhesive with good adhesion is used to make an outer box and the foam is injected into it, it should work. However, the casing needs to be removed, and the foam blocks will not cause damage to the rotor shaft or the coupling. For reference. Indeed, 100-120 degrees aren’t necessary, are they?

For pumps that are sensitive to cavitation, it is recommended to either keep the insulation in place or remove it, and it’s best to take precautions to avoid burns. That’s how I do it here.
