Regarding the PE material for circulating water pipes

Do you use PE pipes for the circulating water pipelines in your factory? What are the differences between these and steel pipes?

Advantages: Better corrosion resistance, no need to apply anti-corrosion coatings on the outer wall ； The inner wall ensures water quality due to its corrosion resistance ； It is easy to connect, the initial installation is fast, and the flexible piping can effectively absorb the stresses associated with piping installation. Disadvantages: Poor resistance to external pressure, especially at the joint areas ； Heavy machinery is prohibited above the pipes when they are buried ； Repair time is long, scalability is poor, and pipe piercing and welding require specialized tools.
The explosion-proof requirements also need to be taken into account; PE is generally not chosen for workshops with such requirements, and this is for reference only.
It seems that PE pipes are a good alternative to carbon steel pipes as well.
It depends on the on-site conditions; such pipes have poor rigidity, so proper pipe support must be provided. This is the type used for natural gas pipelines here
