One of our plants’ vertical tubular belt pumps is two-stage and over four meters long; the sections are connected by support tubes. Due to abnormal noises that were reported earlier, both the pump shaft and the graphite sleeves have become worn out. A new shaft and graphite sleeve have been installed. Due to a measurement error by the manufacturer, the thread pitch at the end of the pump shaft was mistakenly set from 10 inches per tooth to 1.75 millimeters per tooth; a gear (used to connect the pump to the motor) was then manufactured at a processing factory. After reinstalling it, the vibration increased and the pump can no longer be used. The concentricity of the motor and pump was measured several times with no issues, and the base was also adjusted, but it still doesn’t work. I would like to ask some expert for advice: the concentricity is around 5 degrees. The normal vibration levels are 1.3 mm/s and 1.5 mm/s, while after reinstallation the vibration levels are 5.3 mm/s and 7.2 mm/s. Outlet pressure: 3.8 MPa. Pressure is stable, sound is normal; the measurement point is at the connection between the motor and the pump
Please send the maintenance record data
Is it because the precision of processing this item is insufficient, resulting in misalignment, or imbalance (this possibility is low)?
Are they deep blue pumps? Has the pump been started for venting? (Volatile media should be vented more frequently.) The bottom temperature pump should be fully pre-cooled)
This pump is the same as our pump – it’s a two-stage refrigerant pump
It’s a grade 2 refrigerant pump. Do you also work at an LNG plant?
Well, this set of equipment is the American BV process package, right?
Yes, when performing a horizontal measurement with this shaft at present, there are 8 degrees of vibration; the gap between the graphite sleeve and the shaft amounts to 45 degrees, with none at all
I saw in your post that you mentioned creating a device repair group – has it been set up yet? My zhang4081087
