Please take a look at the picture. The screw on the outlet side of the variable pitch screw grinds the pump casing, causing the rotor to be too hot. After grinding, the sound of grinding the pump casing reappeared 20 minutes after the test run. The manufacturer was unable to find out the problem. Seek guidance from experts
How is the pump casing worn? Is it partially worn or is it worn overall? Do you have any pictures?
The areas where the pump casing is worn correspond to the areas where the rotor is worn.
Is this a stainless steel screw?
This should be a positioning problem. You should check whether the bearing is damaged and whether the end cover is related to the thickness of the gasket. It is best to send a few pictures of the host to facilitate discussion.
There are several possibilities: 1: There is a problem causing displacement. 2: The bearing is damaged and unstable. 3: There is something wrong with the assembly and the gap is not adjusted properly. 4: The temperature of the pump body is too high, check the cooling water flow. 5: Check the production process to see if there is any problem with material entry. 6: Operational issues. For the specific use and common problems of screw vacuum pumps, please refer to the data of Tenair screw vacuum pump brand.
After eliminating the particles and foreign matter, let’s find the cause of the pump itself.; Rotor material issues, temperature and expansion are the main issues.
Check and replace the bearings, check whether the two shafts are deformed or bent, deal with the rubbing contact surface, and readjust the meshing clearance and the gap between the screw and the inner surface of the pump casing according to the requirements of the installation manual.
Is it a VPS stainless steel screw pump? Did you just use it or have you been using it for a while? This should be caused by the overall thermal expansion of the rotor and the casing.
It is estimated that the overall gap will be repaired, the screw will be made thinner, and the shell will be made larger. I will make sure you don’t get hit again, but I can’t guarantee your energy level :)
