Dear colleagues, when slurry pumps are used to transport slurry or pulp, the phenomenon occurs that pumping becomes impossible as the concentration increases. I would like to ask for some simple and reliable methods for stirring; an analysis from various aspects such as the type of stirring mechanism and the installation method of the pump is needed to find an effective solution. For example, in a copper mine, a bottom feed pump is used, with the slurry passing through a buffer tank with a diameter of 1 meter and a height of 1 meter before being pumped away. This system is equipped with a stirrer, and slurry with a weight concentration of 40% can be transported normally, but at concentrations of 50–60%, pumping becomes difficult – it is likely due to too rapid sedimentation. I would like to know what methods can be used to solve this issue
The previous air pump, or the device used to introduce pressurized air or steam as a stirring gas, is fixed in the appropriate position at the pump inlet. You might as well give it a try. Or use pressurized water for dilution and impact stirring. Also, it is possible to use augers, buckets, or similar devices to remove the material settled at the bottom and transport it by vehicle instead.
Just use one with a built-in mixer.

No need to stir; try adding a reflux.
A branch pipe is added at the slurry pump outlet for reflux, to determine the flow ratio.
