The inlet and outlet of such a forced circulation pump are installed backwards. The manufacturer says that the motor can be rotated in the opposite direction. Is that okay? I don't think it's possible to interchange the inlet and outlet without changing the inlet and outlet pipelines by reversing the motor?

Look at the flow channel. Is there any difference between the front and back?
There is not much difference. The shape of the axial flow pump impeller determines its performance. Just like a propeller, it can be rotated forward or reversely, but reverse rotation may loosen the impeller.
The latter part is also what worries me...
I think this manufacturer is unreliable... The pros and cons can indeed achieve the same effect, but the equipment life and failure rate are different. By the way, don’t your on-site pumps have filters? Welding quality is average…
Why is it installed backwards? Is it a design problem, a construction problem or a manufacturing problem?
See if there are requirements for machine seals. If not, an axial flow pump will do.

The axial force will change during reverse rotation, and the force structure of the bearing is unknown. ; 3.
