I would like to ask whether the accumulator for pump 53B is equipped with a shut-off valve, and also how to put the accumulator into use when servicing the sealing system and filling it with fluid – what are the steps for doing this?
It is generally not recommended to install valves, as there is a risk of them being closed due to improper operation. During maintenance, after the pressure in the pump is reduced, the 53B accumulator should also have its pressure released before the sealing system is inspected. Before putting the pump back into use, the sealing fluid should be added first, then the pressure in the 53B accumulator should be increased to the operating pressure, and finally the pressure in the pump itself should be raised again
