Pumps in the range of flow rates from 2 m3/h to 400 m3/h are all needed, but those with a flow rate of 10–200 m3/h are used the most frequently.

If mixing is required, a centrifugal pump is suitable. Screw pumps are known for their feature of producing no mixing or pulsation, and they are only appropriate for transportation purposes
