Our factory uses 98% concentrated sulfuric acid, and accurate measurement is necessary. The metering pumps we used in the past had a short lifespan; therefore, we are seeking advice from experts – are there any good recommendations? Requirements: high head, corrosion resistance, long service life
What is the flow rate and head? For those with standard parameters, fluorine-lined pumps are reliable and durable.
We use ordinary carbon steel pumps
Without a temperature parameter, it’s not possible to make a choice; for metering pumps, alloy 20 can be considered for using sulfuric acid
Can’t we line it with fluoroplastic on top of the original metering pump?

For concentrated sulfuric acid, use ordinary carbon steel pumps; for dilute sulfuric acid, use pumps with plastic lining.
A 98-acid pump is a regular centrifugal pump; dilute sulfuric acid requires a fluoropolymer alloy pump.
Try using a canned motor pump; acid with a pH of 98 does not cause corrosion. Canned motor pumps require little maintenance and have a very long service life
For high head applications, fluorine-lined stainless steel metering pumps can be used; whereas in the case of ordinary carbon steel fluorine-lined centrifugal pumps or magnetic pumps, high pressure may cause the fluorine lining to crack
