The factory has several glue-applying robots. Although it’s not my responsibility area, I’m still curious about them. Since these robots use domestically produced components, there are frequent issues such as broken screws, broken flanges, worn sealing layers inside the windings, and iron shavings forming on the pipe walls. After doing some research, I found that the rotor does not move along the same axis as the power source; instead, it twists inside. I would like to ask: 1. Why is this eccentric planetary motion used? Wouldn’t it cause damage to the internal components? 2. If the universal joint were removed so that the rotation remained coaxial, could the robots still function properly for applying glue? Thank you everyone
Apart from design and material factors, another equally important factor is usage and maintenance. It is better to ensure the high quality of the lubricating oil used, and to thoroughly clean the equipment at the beginning of its use. Many such devices are not thoroughly cleaned at the time of manufacture; as a result, during use, mechanical impurities accumulate at certain lubrication points or in the gear meshing areas, leading to damage to the equipment. It is advisable to check for such issues in this regard for reference.
