After the mechanical seal is assembled, tighten the hex key on the ring you mentioned in order to fix the shaft sleeve onto the shaft (also adjust the compression amount of the seal spring). Then, move the card located outside the retaining ring from its position in the shaft sleeve slot to the position shown in the current photo – and the mechanical seal is now installed. With this locking bushing and the movable switch, it rotates together with the shaft.
