Can someone explain the flow direction of the liquid in the seal flushing pipe of a single-stage centrifugal pump?
I don’t understand what to ask. It flows from high-pressure areas to low-pressure areas.
It depends on the flushing scheme. Generally, in self-flushing, the medium is introduced from the outlet and flows into the mechanical seal.
Under what circumstances does flow occur from the slave seal end to the outlet end?
There is no flow towards the outlet; only flow towards the inlet. The pressure in the sealed chamber basically never exceeds the outlet pressure
