Just remove the pump directly; use a bypass or a jumper to bypass it, and connect it back in when needed
If there is a pump, there must be a motor as well. Even when the pump itself is properly lubricated, the motor isn’t necessarily immune to moisture or similar issues. It’s better to turn on the TV set almost once a month; if it’s left unused for too long, moisture can cause problems!
