As shown in the picture below, the P101 pump circulates the V101 tank itself, but the inlet of the P101 pump has a bifurcated pipeline at its highest point connected to the outside atmosphere. When the pump is running, will air enter the pump? What impact will this have on the pump?
When a centrifugal pump operates normally, it draws liquid in from the inlet, accelerates it through the impeller, and then forces the liquid out. If the inlet of the centrifugal pump is connected to the atmosphere, air will be sucked in during the water inlet process. This may result in the following effects: 1. Reduce pump efficiency: The presence of air will reduce the suction capacity of the pump, making the pump less efficient. Because pumps work primarily by sucking in liquid, sucking in air will reduce pump performance. 2. Cause cavitation: The air sucked in when the pump is filled with water will affect the operating stability of the pump and may cause cavitation. Cavitation refers to the oscillation and noise caused by the presence of gas in the liquid during the working process of the pump. This situation will reduce the working life of the pump. 3. Affects the liquid level control of the pump: If the highest point of the pipeline at the pump inlet is connected to the atmosphere, then when the pump stops working, the liquid in the pipeline will freely flow back into the pump, which may cause changes in the liquid level and instability. In order to avoid the above problems, measures are usually taken, such as increasing the height of the inlet pipe or setting up an air valve to prevent air from entering the pump. This ensures normal operation and long-term stability of the pump. .
In this way, the air will be drawn out and the body will be drawn in. Add a isolation valve.
1. The pump is a large circulation tank. The direction of the material circulated by the pump should be from the bottom of the tank to the bottom of the tank. Is your direction of the material reversed?; 2. According to the process shown in the figure, the material in the upper part of the tank should flow to the pump inlet by itself, so that the pump inlet pipeline forms a liquid seal and the gas cannot enter the pump. ; When the liquid level in the pipe is low and cannot flow to the pump inlet, the inlet pipeline will be perforated and gas will be drawn into the pump, causing pump cavitation.
