Recently, the 550DTN-5PS condensate pumps – characterized by high flow rates (Q＞2000 m3/h) and high head pressures (H＞400 m), along with a large motor power (P≥2500 KW) – which were independently developed by Shenyang Industrial Pump Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (referred to as Shen Gong Pump) for domestic 1240MW supercritical thermal power plant projects, were successfully installed and commissioned. The operation testing and installation acceptance were completed successfully in just one attempt. This product has an export diameter of 550 mm, and its various core technologies and innovative designs are at the international advanced level. The design efficiency η of its pump exceeds 90% (based on test data from actual machines in the factory), which demonstrates that Shen Gong Pumps has reached new heights in the manufacturing of high-end thermal power equipment. As a core auxiliary equipment in 1240MW supercritical thermal power units, the condensate pump is one of the most important and energy-intensive auxiliary devices, as well as a key factor ensuring the safe and reliable operation of the power unit. The condensate pump is part of the condensate extraction system in power plants; its functions include pumping condensate out of the heat wells of the condenser, and sending it through the condensate polishing system and low-pressure heater system to the deaerator ； Supply the required condensate water to the feed water tank of the auxiliary feed water system ； Supply the required condensate water to the steam generator blowdown system ； It supplies the required condensate to the U-shaped heat exchangers of the modular low-pressure heaters, as well as condensate for flushing and sealing the spiral hydraulic seals of the feed water pumps. The condensate pump can respond swiftly to sudden conditions such as load shedding or overpressure in the unit, open fully quickly, and maintain the system pressure within a safe range, thus enabling effective operation in the extreme environmental conditions of a thermal power plant’s condensate system.
