Enhancing quality awareness to promote high-quality development. ----------------------------------------- The world’s first set of core components for 300MW-class compressed air energy storage systems was successfully manufactured. On September 20th, Shaanxi Blower (Group) Co., Ltd. (referred to as “Shaanxi Blower”) delivered several large-scale compressors for the “Hubei Yingcheng 300MW-class Compressed Air Energy Storage Power Station Demonstration Project” in its final assembly workshop. This is the world’s first 300MW-class non-superheated compressed air energy storage demonstration project. It utilizes a globally innovative, fully green, non-superheated, and highly efficient 300MW-class compressed air energy storage technology. It is currently the only large-scale, long-duration physical energy storage technology that can compete with pumped hydro storage, and it is regarded as a \"stabilizer\" and a \"super power bank\" for the new electric power system. Shanxi Blower provided multiple sets of core equipment and system solutions for this project. Upon completion of the project, it is expected to generate 500 million kWh of electricity per year. It will achieve the world’s highest single-unit power, the world’s largest energy storage capacity, and the world’s highest conversion efficiency in the field of non-reburning compressed air energy storage. To serve as a model for the healthy development of the energy storage industry, and to contribute positively to the green and efficient use of energy as well as the timely achievement of the \"dual carbon\" goals. Chen Dangmin, general manager of Shaanxi Gear Power, said that the 14th Five-Year Plan period is a crucial and opportune time for China to achieve its carbon peak target, as well as a significant strategic opportunity for the development of new energy storage technologies. The construction of compressed air energy storage systems urgently requires large-scale, efficient, and reliable domestically produced energy storage compressors. In the field of compressed air energy storage, Shaanxi Gas Turbine has the capability to produce compressors and expanders with capacities ranging from 10 to 400 MW, as well as relevant implementation experience. With the strong support of Nengjian Digital Science Group and Central South Electric Power Design Institute, Shaanxi Gas Turbine Corporation undertook the production of the compression units, which are the core equipment for the world’s first 300MW-class compressed air energy storage project that does not rely on supplementary combustion. At present, the two-line, four-section, eight-set compression units have been designed and manufactured, and after factory testing, they are ready for shipment; installation and commissioning work will soon begin at the project site.
