Recently, the Alliance Petrochemical’s integrated biodegradable plastic project, with a total investment of 3.35 billion yuan, began trial production. In the production area of the first-phase 100,000-ton BDO facility, the equipment is operating stably, and workers are carrying out their tasks in an orderly and efficient manner. It is currently in the trial production phase, with full-scale operation expected to begin in mid-March. By the second quarter, a BDO production capacity of 30,000 tons will be achieved, generating an additional revenue of 300 million yuan. It took just over a year from the start of construction to pilot production for this project. As an important step in Alliance Group’s transition from the traditional petrochemical industry to the high-end new materials industry, this project is constructed in three phases. The BDO production project that is currently in trial operation was built in accordance with the standards of a dark-room factory. The continuous polymerization process developed in collaboration with the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, is the first of its kind in China; it enables one set of equipment to produce six different products. The quality of our products is among the best in the world, and they can be exported directly to the EU to replace imported products.\" ” PBAT/PBS Biodegradable Plastic Integration Project: The PBAT/PBS biodegradable plastic integration project carried out by Shandong Alliance Group is one of the key implementation projects in Shandong Province for 2024. The total investment for the project is 3.35 billion yuan, covering an area of 610 mu, and it will be constructed in two phases. The first phase involves an investment of 600 million yuan, covers an area of 100 mu, and entails the construction of a BDO production facility with an annual capacity of 100,000 tons ； The second phase involves the construction of a 200,000 tons per year maleic anhydride production facility and a 60,000 tons per year PBAT/PBS biodegradable plastic production facility. Construction of the project began on January 30, 2023. Once fully completed and operational, it is expected to generate an output value of 3.2 billion yuan and profits and taxes amounting to 1.2 billion yuan. It will help drive the transformation and upgrading of the BDO industry, promote the development of the biodegradable plastics sector, and contribute to the achievement of the \"dual carbon\" goals.
