Recently, the torch tower for China Chemical Siding Company’s Shenhua Enerchemical Liquid Sunlight project was successfully hoisted into place. The entire lifting process was safe, controllable, smooth and orderly, with the 120-meter-tall steel giant standing tall. Located in Wushen Banner, Ordos City, Inner Mongolia, this project is the world’s first industrial benchmark for liquid sunlight technology, enabling the sustainable utilization of carbon dioxide through a full-value chain that incorporates wind and solar power, green electricity, green hydrogen, and carbon recycling. As an important symbolic structure of chemical plants, the hoisting of the torch tower is a critical process with high risks and high precision requirements in the project construction. This successful lifting has laid a solid foundation for subsequent system integration and testing, and it also demonstrates the efficient progress of the \"integration of energy and chemical technologies\" demonstration project. Through an industrial-scale demonstration of the entire process, including wind and solar power generation, hydrogen production via water electrolysis, and the production of methanol from carbon dioxide and green hydrogen, this project achieves a deep integration of coal chemical industry with \"green electricity,\" \"green hydrogen,\" and \"green oxygen.\" It helps to optimize the energy supply structure and contribute to achieving the goals of carbon peak and carbon neutrality. The project enables efficient use of resources, reducing coal consumption by 140,000 tons of standard coal per year and cutting carbon dioxide emissions by around 500,000 tons. At the same time, it facilitates the recycling of carbon dioxide, thus creating a circular economy model of \"energy–chemicals–new energy\".
