On the 4th of the month, Shanghai Jieda Chemical Co., Ltd. and Sinochem Hualu Corporation held a signing ceremony in Shanghai for the EPC general contract of the Shanghai Jieda Nylon Industry Chain Resource Utilization and Quality Improvement Project (hereinafter referred to as the “Phase II Project”). “The “Shanghai Jieda Nylon Industry Chain Resource Utilization and Quality Improvement Project” is located in the Shanghai Chemical Industry Park, and it is a key circular economy demonstration project developed within the park. The implementation of this project represents another milestone for the “Shanghai Jieda Nylon Integration Project”. The project is closely aligned with the development directions outlined in China’s 15th Five-Year Plan for the chemical industry, namely innovation-driven and high-quality development, green and low-carbon transformation, structural adjustment and optimization, enhancement of global competitiveness, as well as international cooperation and open development. Focusing on key areas such as overcoming domestic constraints, filling existing gaps, and achieving import substitution, it has enabled the effective integration and application of advanced technologies from home and abroad by introducing, assimilating, and absorbing Invista’s technologies, and by carrying out downstream technology research and development in collaboration with Sinochem Hualu Company. The implementation of this project will play a crucial role in further improving the industrial chain in the Shanghai Chemical Industry Zone, enhancing its added value, and reducing carbon emissions as well as nitrogen oxide emissions within that chain – thereby helping to turn it into the \"world’s largest, most complete in terms of its industrial chain, most technologically advanced, and most competitive integrated nylon industry hub\". Through international cooperation and open development, as well as breakthroughs at the higher ends of the value chain and in-depth development of niche markets, the global competitiveness of the nylon integrated industrial base in the Shanghai Chemical Industry Zone will be further enhanced. Ma Jianbo, chairman of Jieda Company, said that the first phase of Jieda’s project has been completed with high quality thanks to the strong support and cooperation from the park management committee, Invidia, and Hualu Company, and it is about to start operating. It is hoped that all parties will further deepen cooperation, build mutual trust and support, work together to overcome various challenges, adhere to the principles of safety first, quality as the foundation, technological leadership, environmental protection, and meticulous management, so as to ensure the successful completion of the second-phase project. Wang Hai, chairman of Hualu Company, expressed his gratitude for Jieda Company’s trust and support. He said that this project embodies the shared vision of Jieda and Hualu for technological innovation in the industry. Hualu Company will actively implement the \"T+EPC\" business innovation model, making full use of its strengths in engineering technology and its experience in general contracting management. Through efficient project execution and high-quality engineering services, it is committed to delivering top-notch projects and helping both parties achieve high-quality development. Kyle W. Redinger, Vice President of NVIDIA’s Asia-Pacific region, said that the second-phase project represents NVIDIA’s first transfer of relevant technology in China, indicating that the partnership between NVIDIA and Jieda will become even closer, and that cooperation among all parties will enter a new phase. He wished the project complete success. Zhu Bin, deputy director of the Shanghai Chemical Industry Zone Management Committee, reviewed the history of cooperation between the zone and various parties. He said that the win-win partnership between Jieda and Hualu in the second-phase project will greatly enhance Jieda’s influence in the nylon sector, while also helping Hualu to further strengthen its brand presence in the Shanghai area.
