Recently, the Weihai Ecology and Environment Bureau issued a notice to publicize the expansion project for high-end fluorine-containing fine chemicals carried out by Weihai Xinyuan New Materials Co., Ltd. The details of the project are as follows: Project name: Expansion project for high-end fluorine-containing fine chemicals； Construction unit: Weihai Xinyuan New Materials Co., Ltd ； Construction location: Within the existing factory premises of Weihai Xinyuan New Materials Co., Ltd., in the Wendeng Chemical Industry Park, Weihai City, Shandong Province ； Project nature: Expansion. Construction details: The proposed project covers an area of approximately 32 mu; it makes use of 2 existing workshops, along with their outdoor installations and auxiliary control rooms and power distribution rooms. An additional construction area of 6,974.5 square meters will be created, which includes 1 new workshop along with its outdoor installations, a new recirculating cooling water and refrigeration system, as well as new ethylene storage tanks – including 2 ethylene tanks and ethylene vaporizers, 2 trifluoropropene tanks, 2 trifluoroethanol tanks – along with related supporting facilities. Approximately 468 sets of equipment will be purchased, while other auxiliary facilities will be utilized from the company’s existing assets. Production scale: Once completed, the project will be able to produce 8,000 tons per year of tetrachloropropane, 4,000 tons per year of trifluoropropene, 3,600 tons per year of trifluoroethyl chloride, 360 tons per year of trifluoroethanamine, 2,500 tons per year of trifluoroethanol, and 500 tons per year of hydrochloride salt of trifluoroethanamine. As by-products, 780 tons per year of 40% hydrofluoric acid, 31,300 tons per year of 31% hydrochloric acid, 2,200 tons per year of potassium sulfate, and 2,300 tons per year of ammonium sulfate will be produced.
