On December 1, with the final batch of concrete poured in place, the main structure of the substation for Nantong Blue Sea New Materials’ FDPE plant was successfully completed 20 days ahead of schedule. This marks the entry into the critical construction phases such as mechanical and electrical installation serta decoration work. It is reported that the substation has a four-story frame structure, with a total construction area of 13,459.7 square meters and a building height of 22.6 meters. From the earthwork excavation on July 14th to the completion of the main structure of the substation on December 1st, the project team overcame various challenges such as high temperatures and scorching heat, continuous rain, and typhoons. In total, they poured more than 8,400 cubic meters of concrete, installed over 7,600 embedded components, and carried out continuous construction using formwork systems of high strength as well as for large-volume concrete. Faced with a large scale of construction, tight deadlines, and a complex working environment, the project team adopted an efficient construction approach, implementing round-the-clock shifts and precise control over various stages and levels to maximize construction efficiency. At the same time, the project team made scientific adjustments to the construction plan, dividing the substation into two phases for simultaneous progress, thereby ensuring a fast and efficient work pace ； Adopting the strategy of completing the superstructure first and then backfilling the underground foundation ensured continuity in construction, thereby gaining valuable time to meet the project deadline.
