On the 17th of the month, the report on the special gas expansion and renovation project of Camet Special Gases Co., Ltd. was made public. The project is an expansion and renovation project invested and constructed by Yizhang Kemite Special Gases Co., Ltd., and it is located in the Yizhang Fluorine Chemistry Circular Industry Development Zone in Yizhang County, Chenzhou City. The main components of the project involve the construction, within the existing plant area, of a new industrial-grade acetylene production facility with an output of 1,920,000 Nm³/year, as well as a hydrogen production facility with an output of 7.8 tons/year. The acetylene production facility includes an acetylene generator, purifiers, compressors, as well as supporting structures such as storage areas for calcium carbide and calcium carbide slag. The hydrogen production facility utilizes a methanol-to-hydrogen process. Upon completion of the project, the annual production capacity will increase by 1.728 million Nm³ of industrial-grade acetylene (some of which will be used for the production of electronic-grade acetylene while the rest will be sold), as well as 7.8 tons of hydrogen (all of which will be used for the production of electronic-grade hydrogen bromide). The production volumes of the other products specified in the original environmental impact assessment remain unchanged.
