　　On March 4, the website of the Shandong Provincial Government published the \"Approval from the People’s Government of Shandong Province regarding the expansion of the Dezhou Canal Hengsheng Chemical Industry Park,\" approving in principle the expansion of the approved area of this industrial park; the expanded area will be 6.1585 square kilometers. 　　Shandong Province requires that efforts be made to turn the Dezhou Canal Hengsheng Chemical Industry Park into a dynamic and leading area for the high-quality development of the industrial economy. It is necessary to accelerate the development of the expansion areas, improve infrastructure facilities, strengthen efforts in safety and environmental protection, advance digital transformation and network integration, optimize the industrial development ecosystem, and actively create a new landscape for the development of chemical parks. 　　It is reported that the Dezhou Canal Hengsheng Chemical Industrial Park is one of the chemical parks identified and announced by the Shandong Provincial Government in the second batch in September 2018, with an initial area of 5.09 square kilometers. After another round of zone adjustment, the area was reduced to 5.01 square kilometers.
