Public announcement on the environmental impact assessment for the 150,000-ton green methanol project, as well as the photovoltaic, energy storage, and hydrogen production components of this project. 2026-03-13 14:01:58 On March 10, the Jiuquan Municipal Ecology and Environment Bureau issued a public announcement regarding the environmental impact assessment process for the integrated project that involves using wind and solar power to produce hydrogen, combined with the use of biomass to manufacture 150,000 tons per year of green methanol – including the photovoltaic, energy storage, and hydrogen production components of this project. Investment amount: Total investment of 350 million yuan ； Construction nature: New construction ； Construction location: Bulongji Township, Guazhou County, Jiuquan City, Gansu Province ； Construction of this project is expected to begin in March 2026, with completion and trial operation set for September 2027 ； This project is a photovoltaic power generation project that serves as a supporting facility for Gansu Runlong Hongneng Energy Management Co., Ltd.’s integrated project for hydrogen production coupled with the use of biomass to manufacture 150,000 tons per year of green methanol. The generated green electricity is connected to the newly built 110kV substation in the park, to be used for subsequent projects such as hydrogen production and methanol production. It is in line with the regional guidelines for the development of new energy sources, and it also responds to the call for expanding the use of hydrogen, thereby contributing to the long-term development of new energy.
