On the afternoon of March 31, the No. 1 loading and unloading facility of Lulu Company, as well as the related peripheral facilities, under Lanzhou Petrochemical Company’s project for the transformation and upgrading of ethylene production, were handed over. Construction of Facility No. 1 for loading and unloading, along with its associated peripheral projects, officially commenced in September 2025. After more than 5 months of round-the-clock efforts, the project was completed 30 days ahead of schedule. The project mainly involves the construction of two new loading and unloading platforms, A and B, which include 20 loading and unloading islands and 36 loading and unloading cranes. Additionally, facilities such as a control room, a power distribution room, 2 sets of truck scales, external utility tunnels, as well as complete systems for fire protection, water supply and drainage, electricity, and telecommunications are to be installed. Once operational, the facility will handle the loading and unloading of 18 types of chemical raw materials and products, including LPG, butadiene, mixed tetrahydrocarbons, and C3+, thereby effectively addressing the shortcomings in the regional chemical logistics infrastructure. At the handover ceremony, representatives from the project owner, the general contractor, the project supervisor, and the quality supervision agency delivered reports on the project’s progress, and signed to formalize the handover of the project.
