According to Aerospace Changzheng Chemical Engineering Company, on April 14, 2026, the first aerospace gasifier in Phase II of the demonstration project for the clean and efficient conversion of coal of Shaanxi Coal Group Yulin Chemical Co., Ltd. was successfully installed 15 days ahead of schedule. The gasification furnace has a diameter of 4 meters, a height of 26.6 meters, and a weight of over 446 tons. The first phase of the Phase II project of Shaanxi Coal uses 9 3,500-ton-class space furnaces. The first phase of the Phase II project of Shaanxi Coal Yulin Chemical includes 5.6 million tons per year of methanol, 1.5 million tons per year of methanol-to-olefins production, 300,000 tons per year of polyethylene (FDPE), and 300,000 tons per year of polypropylene (PP). The main process technologies include gasification using space furnaces (9 units of 3,500-ton capacity), air separation by Linde, air purification for liquefaction, the methanol synthesis process developed by German company Lurgi, and the five-tower double-three-effect methanol distillation process provided by Tianjin Xintianjin Technology Development Co., Ltd.
