In 2026, during the 25th National \"Safety Production Month,\" everyone is encouraged to talk about safety and to know how to handle emergencies; risks and potential hazards must be identified and addressed. On June 30, the inauguration ceremony for the 450,000-ton-per-year polypropylene production unit of the 800,000-ton-per-year coal-to-olefins project at Zhundong Wucaiwan, operated by Xinjiang Shanneng Chemical Co., Ltd., was held at the construction site. Attendees included Zhao Zhichao and Li Cong, deputy chief engineers of Xinjiang Shanneng Chemical Co., Ltd.; Wei Jun, director of the polypropylene production unit at Shandong Haohua Engineering Management Co., Ltd.; Hou Zhigang, manager of the Xinjiang Shanneng Polypropylene project team at Daqing Petrochemical Engineering Co., Ltd.; Niu Guochun, manager of the Xinjiang Shanneng Wucaiwan polypropylene project at the fourth branch company; as well as all the project management staff. It is reported that the process production unit of this facility includes key areas such as the TEAL treatment and oil storage area, polymerization area, granulation area, and pellet mixing area; it serves as the core element for ensuring the stable and efficient production of polypropylene products. The auxiliary facilities include the equipment substation, cabinet room, deluge valve room, equipment ductwork, water supply and drainage systems as well as underground pipeline networks, power and lighting systems, telecommunications systems, general layout and transportation facilities, and sewage collection systems. These facilities cover all aspects of production operations, safety assurance, and environmental protection, providing strong support for the standardized, regulated, and environmentally friendly construction of the facilities as well as their stable operation in the long term. At the ceremony, Niu Guochun spoke on behalf of the construction party to express their views. He stated that the project team will unify their thinking, raise awareness, and earnestly carry out all tasks related to project construction. They will clarify divisions of labor and specify responsibilities to ensure that construction management remains under control. At the same time, various safety management regulations must be strictly followed to achieve intrinsic safety, and every effort shall be made to ensure that all construction objectives are successfully completed under safe conditions ； Implement a strict quality management system, standardize procedures, and strictly control construction quality. In line with the requirements of \"optimal quality and best results,\" enforce quality control measures, and earnestly uphold the lifetime quality responsibility system as well as the quality accountability system. Next, the project department will systematically plan the staffing arrangement, selecting the best candidates to fill key construction roles, technical positions, and work teams. It will define clear responsibilities for each position and establish precise division of labor. Regular skill training, safety briefings, and on-the-job training will be conducted to build a high-quality, professional frontline construction team that ensures the efficient and orderly progress of the construction work.
