On April 11, the 80-meter sleeve-type self-standing steel chimney, which is a key facility in the power station of Jilin Huajian’s Fifth Branch’s Nantong Blue Sea New Materials project, was successfully lifted into place in its entirety. It is reported that the steel chimney to be lifted this time has a total height of 80 meters, with an outer diameter of 4.1 meters. To ensure project quality and improve construction efficiency, the project team carried out scientific planning and meticulous organization, adopting a construction method of \"pre-fabrication in factory + on-site assembly and lifting\", and reasonably dividing the overall structure into 5 large sections. Components are prefabricated in a standardized and modular manner in the factory, which improves manufacturing accuracy and reduces the on-site construction time. During the lifting phase, the project team developed a specialized lifting plan based on the actual conditions on site, using a 700-ton truck crane as the main lifting device and a 130-ton truck crane to assist in the lifting operations. At the same time, in view of the slender design of chimney components and the difficulty in controlling their center of gravity, special balance beams are used as \"precision carrying poles\" to ensure even stress distribution and stable posture during lifting. Through the strict implementation of the specialized construction plan by personnel in various positions, under unified command and close coordination, with seamless connections between different stages and standardized operations, it was ultimately possible to successfully connect and precisely install each section of the chimney, achieving excellent results from the first attempt.
