On April 17 and April 16, the Zibo Ecology and Environment Bureau approved the expansion project for the production of 1,000 tons per year of meltable polytetrafluoroethylene (PFA) by Shandong Dongyue Future Hydrogen Energy Materials Co., Ltd., as well as the Phase I project for new trifluorine-based materials developed by Zibo Feiyuan Chemical Co., Ltd. The relevant details of these projects are as follows: Project owner: Zibo Feiyuan Chemical Co., Ltd； Construction site: Zibo Gaoqing Chemical Industry Park ； Investment amount: 90 million yuan ； Project nature: Expansion ； Construction contents: A plant with an annual production capacity of 14,000 tons for 1,1,1-trichlorotrifluoroethane (R113a) (the plant with an annual capacity of 14,000 tons in this project will operate as a backup to the existing plant with an annual capacity of 7,000 tons; they will not produce simultaneously). Associated facilities such as tank areas, workshops, and recirculation ponds will also be built, for the internal use of the 1,1,1-trichlorotrifluoroethane (R113a) product by the enterprise ； By-products include approximately 26,500 tons/year of 31% hydrochloric acid, about 300 tons/year of 40% hydrofluoric acid, and around 4,400 tons/year of 5% sodium hypochlorite; all of which are sold externally. Estimated construction period: 12 months. Additional details: The second phase involves the construction of a facility capable of producing 3,000 tons per year of trichloroethylene and 5,340 tons per year of 1,1,2-trichlorotrifluoroethane (R113). Associated infrastructure such as tank areas and circulating water tanks will also be built. The facility will produce 3,000 tons per year of trichloroethylene; as by-products, approximately 10,100 tons per year of 31% hydrochloric acid and approximately 6,100 tons per year of 60% liquid zinc chloride will be generated, both of which will be sold externally.
