Xingan League Economic and Technological Development Zone releases the environmental impact assessment for the Jinfeng Xingan League Green Hydrogen-based Green Methanol (Phase III) project

On May 14, the Xingan League Economic and Technological Development Zone issued the first announcement regarding public participation in the environmental impact assessment for the Jinfeng Xingan League Green Hydrogen-based Green Methanol (Phase III) project. 　　Project Name: Goldwind Green Energy Chemicals (Xingan League) Co., Ltd.’s Goldwind Xingan League Green Hydrogen to Green Methanol (Phase III) Project. 　　Construction location: Located in the Economic and Technological Development Zone of Xingan League, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. 　　Construction scale and content: This project will be constructed in three phases, and this evaluation covers only Phase 3. Phase 3 of this project will have an annual production capacity of 725,000 tons of green methanol. The main tasks involve constructing key production facilities such as biomass gasification and methanol synthesis distillation, along with the supporting utility systems. 　　Public information shows that the hydrogen production project carried out by Goldwind Science & Technology in Xing’an League is divided into three phases. The first phase of this project has already begun generating electricity, the second phase started construction in April 2026, and the third phase is currently in the stage of environmental impact assessment and preliminary equipment procurement. Phases 1 and 2 produce 32,000 Nm3/h of hydrogen each, while Phase 3 has a hydrogen production capacity of 160,000 Nm3/h ； The total green hydrogen production capacity is 224,000 Nm3/h, with an additional 56,000 Nm3/h of green hydrogen sourced from China Nuclear HuiNeng. 　　The green methanol production facility will also be built in three phases, with capacities of 250,000 tons, 600,000 tons, and 725,000 tons respectively, resulting in an overall green methanol production capacity of 1.575 million tons.
