On May 26, the list of preferred bidders for the technical services related to the preparation of the feasibility study report for the Datang Gansu Wind-Solar Hybrid Off-Grid Hydrogen Production Demonstration Project was announced. First winning bidder: China Power Construction Group Chengdu Survey and Design Institute Co., Ltd. Project Name: Preparation of the Feasibility Study Report for the Datang Gansu Wind-Solar Hybrid Off-Grid Hydrogen Production Demonstration ProjectConstruction Location: Baiyin District, Baiyin City, Gansu Province
Construction Scale: A new 21 MW wind-solar hybrid hydrogen production power plant will be built, comprising 14 MW of wind power and 7 MW of photovoltaic power. Concurrently, a grid-forming energy storage system with a capacity of 5 MW/5 MWh will be installed (the planned capacity may be adjusted appropriately based on the actual conditions identified during site surveys). Additionally, a 12 MW hydrogen production facility will be constructed; optimal types of electrolyzer units—including ALK, AEM, PEM, and SOEC electrolyzers—will be selected to ensure that the quality indicators of the green hydrogen meet the requirements for ultra-pure hydrogen as stipulated in the standard “Pure Hydrogen, High-Purity Hydrogen and Ultra-Pure Hydrogen” (GB/T 3634.2-2011). Supporting facilities include hydrogen buffer tanks, hydrogen compression and filling systems, as well as auxiliary areas, demineralized water stations, air compressor stations, power distribution rooms, control buildings, and other such structures.
