On September 5, 2022, the heaviest and largest piece of equipment in the Baling Petrochemical’s caprolactam industry chain relocation, upgrading, and transformation project – Purification Unit Tower 001 (the reformate absorption tower for the hydrogen-ammonia unit) – was successfully lifted into place using the \"single-crane lifting method\", with a 5,000-ton gantry crane serving as the main crane and an 800-ton crawler crane acting as the auxiliary crane to assist with the lifting process after the equipment had been fitted with its necessary components. This transformed gas absorption tower weighs approximately 1,150 tons, is 99.36 meters tall, and has a diameter of 4 meters.
