Experts, I need help! ! ! ! How is determined the number of test plates for the head base material? For example: if the base metal batch numbers of the upper and lower end caps are the same, one sample is taken; if the batch numbers are different, one sample is taken from each end cap. Is that correct? ? ? ? ?
I think it should be understood as whether the two end caps are heat-treated in the same furnace; if so, one test piece is sufficient.

Material test plates are generally used for impact tests； In impact tests, the furnace batch number is generally not taken into account; only MDMT, the delivery conditions, and the wall thickness are considered.
