1. No junction box is required; the length of the cables is estimated to be around 80–150 meters on average, which is about seven or eight kilometers in total. Cables of the same specification can be combined together. 2. You use junction boxes; the main cable runs for 70 to 80 meters. There are roughly 10 junction boxes needed. For a 1-kilometer length of main cable, along with branch cables of 10X62, that’s about 800 meters in total. The 1-kilometer main cables are not necessarily of the same specification; each specification can only be supplied in a single coil, and there is also a minimum order quantity required. . . . The junction box designed to prevent BAO issues costs 2,000 yen each; in addition, there are also accessories needed to prevent BAO issues, such as cable glands and BAO-proof seals. In total, the cost comes to at least 25,000 yen. You also need to account for the construction costs of installing the junction box and wiring the terminals of the junction box. I did some calculations, and the costs of the two are roughly the same (about 5,000 yen). Moreover, the terminal blocks in the junction box also represent a potential hazard. In summary, I recommend not using a junction box and instead running the cable directly to the control room.
