For various reasons, safety standardization is considered by many safety management professionals to be of low quality or a burden; in fact, it is quite suitable for China’s national conditions. Standardization is a management philosophy and a tool. The standardization of work processes, work skills, and work outcomes represents the consolidation of management efforts, and it is an important indication of the achievements of managers. Bamboo poles are simple; they can be used to poke wasp nests or to prop up boats, it depends on how you use them. What’s your opinion on safety standardization?
At first, it’s definitely quite troublesome, but as time goes by and the procedures become more standardized, things will get better; it’s still quite useful for security management.
Safety standardization refers to the establishment of a safety production responsibility system, the formulation of safety management systems and operating procedures, the identification and elimination of potential hazards as well as the monitoring of major risk sources. It involves the creation of preventive mechanisms, the standardization of production activities, ensuring that all stages of production comply with relevant laws, regulations, and standards. This approach helps to keep people, machinery, materials, and the environment in an optimal state for production, while also facilitating continuous improvement and the strengthening of the company’s safety production practices. It is the basic and grassroots work of an enterprise, involving all employees, around the clock, throughout the entire process, and in all aspects.
The sulfuric acid plant is becoming a pilot project for the company; the specific results are still unknown.
In some places, no reevaluation is conducted after the 3-year validity period has passed, **and the competent authorities show interest only intermittently.
Safety standardization is indeed good, but it’s rather difficult to implement; managers and employees lack a strong sense of safety, and often they just go through the motions...
The intention was good, but the way it’s being implemented now is too bureaucratic!
