The epoxy sealing primer is a two-component product composed of epoxy resin, pigments, additives, solvents, etc. It exhibits excellent penetration and sealing properties on surfaces such as bridges, roads, steel structures, cement, and concrete (or porous surfaces). It strengthens the strength of the substrate and enhances the adhesion between the substrate and the topcoat. The epoxy sealing primer has particularly strong adhesion to steel and galvanized surfaces that have been properly treated. Epoxy sealing primers possess excellent acid and alkali resistance, and are compatible with a wide range of intermediate and topcoats; they are therefore very commonly used in industries such as manufacturing and construction. Features: Alkali resistance—Epoxy-sealed primers are the most widely used product series for wet, alkaline surfaces such as cement concrete. Penetration – The epoxy sealing primer has high penetration properties, allowing it to penetrate the surface of the substrate quickly in order to provide sealing. Encapsulation – The epoxy encapsulating primer forms a protective layer that shields the substrate from corrosion by external agents. Compatibility – The epoxy sealing primer can be widely combined with various series of intermediate and topcoats. Uses: In the fields of steel structures and bridges – the epoxy sealing primer possesses high penetration and sealing properties for substrates such as steel structure bridges. Its efficient penetration ability allows it to penetrate deep into the substrate and fill gaps, thereby preventing bubbles from forming within the coating and achieving better corrosion protection. In the fields of cement and concrete applications, epoxy sealing primers are coatings used to enhance the surface of cement concrete and similar materials. They possess excellent surface penetration properties, resistance to chemical corrosion, as well as resistance to oil and water. Their high alkali resistance makes them particularly effective in preventing corrosion and rusting of alkaline cement concrete. They help to increase the strength of the surface of cement concrete structures, prevent chemical corrosion, and reduce spalling. In the field of pipeline applications, epoxy sealant primers are the most commonly used type of primer in painting processes. They effectively protect pipelines from corrosion caused by external substances, as well as from penetration of water and moisture.
