Do harmful gases evaporate from ABS powder at 186°C?

Our factory has a spraying device used to apply ABS powder to the bases of eye wash stations; since the bases are made of cast iron, applying ABS powder helps to prevent corrosion. Some time ago, officials from the environmental protection department in Dongtai came to our factory for an inspection. They mentioned that the ABS powder used for coating the bases of the eye wash stations releases harmful gases when exposed to high-temperature ovens, whose temperature reaches 186°C; therefore, we were required to install exhaust hoods. I wonder if such environmental requirements are reasonable? I checked, and at 186°C, ABS powder only melts rather than decomposing
At 186°C, the volatiles content of ABS powder is generally less than 0.3%

At what temperature does ABS powder decompose? I think volatilization occurs only when there is decomposition; dissolution, on the other hand, does not lead to volatilization.
