On pipeline vibration analysis

This unit is used for kerosene hydrogenation; a new raw material filter was added. After its installation, severe pipeline vibration occurred, and the reasons were analyzed based on similar experiences. Relevant personnel also said that there are sometimes vibration issues in the vacuum distillation kerosene line leading to the tank farm.
The reason excluding equipment issues lies in the process factors; however, the equipment is selected based on process parameters. Apart from pipeline stress conditions, factors such as pump vibration, excessively high fluid velocity within the pipelines, an excessive number of pressure and flow control devices on the pipelines, a large pressure difference before and after the pipelines, and unstable flow rates within the pipelines can all lead to increased pipeline vibration.
