Why cannot the longitudinal seams of the insulation layer in horizontal pipes be placed within 45 degrees of the pipe’s vertical centerline? What is a longitudinal seam?
Where is 0 degrees measured from? Send a picture! The insulation layer won’t be in the form of a sleeve, right? It is in a flat plate shape, forming a sleeve-like structure around the outer wall of the pipe; therefore, there must be seams, and these are the longitudinal seams.
There is a concern that water might enter during rain, and this water could lead to accelerated corrosion of the insulation pipes.
